COMPANY HISTORY
MES was started in a small home office by Brian and Anita McBride in the summer of 2003.  Prior to founding MES, Anita worked as a manager and financial planner for the investment and insurance industries, while Brian worked as an engineer and project manager for consultants in the water-wastewater engineering (WWE) industry.  Prior to entering the WWE industry, Brian worked as a consultant in the automotive industry.  The idea for MES was born out of many years of discussions between Brian and Anita regarding the way that most WWE engineering consultants approach their services.   Because Brian had spent his early career working in the automotive industry and Anita worked in the financial industry, together they had an outside perspective that enabled them to recognize that the prevalent business model for WWE consulting tended to be inefficient and outdated (see Company Philosophy below).  They believed that a more solution-oriented consulting approach could be achieved, so in 2003 they set out to start a firm based on a set of principles intended to create a new business model for the WWE consulting industry.

Brian and Anita worked to develop the company under these principles until the end of 2004, when they decided they were ready to expand the concept to a firm with non-principal employees.  After a year of hard work establishing an office and recruiting highly talented employees, by the end of 2005 the company had grown to twelve people and was operating under the same basic structure that it is today.  The current staff consists of ten total employees, and MES is exploring new markets with plans to expand again by the year 2010.

In the six years since its founding MES has successfully built a reputation as a leader in solution engineering, providing quality, timely, and cost-saving engineering services to city, county, and state agencies, as well as a multitude of clients in the private sector.  We strive to offer alternative and innovative low-cost solutions and we are frequently called upon to re-engineer or fix existing facilities.  The goal of McBride Engineering Solutions, Inc. is to help clients find meaningful engineering solutions to their water and wastewater challenges, and our mission has been to develop and maintain long-term relationships with our clients, resulting in over 75% of our work coming from repeat clients.  The culture and philosophy of MES emphasizes our commitment to our clients.  We are passionate about building good relationships with our customers and subcontractors while working as a team to find innovative, cost-effective solutions for our clients’ needs.
